(2) In Stage 2, the 60 most highly significant SNPs from 30 loci were fast-tracked using the SNPlex platform from Sequenom in two other cohorts of T1D families, i.e. 549 nuclear families with 1,333 affected offspring from the Type 1 Diabetes Genetics Consortium (T1DGC), and an additional 390 Canadian families.
