A highly significant correlation has been found between WT1 mutation and CTNNB1 mutation in Wilms' tumours ( Maiti et al , 2000 ). β -Catenin, a product of the CTNNB1 gene, is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion and in signal transduction through the WNT pathway.
