This may be partly due to the fact that there are significant correlations between uPA/PAI-1 and SPF - a clinical finding that corresponds well with experi- mental evidence suggesting that cell proliferation is stimulated after internalization of the uPA/PAI-1/uPA-R complex. Ploidy was not a statistically significant factor for DFS and only of borderline significance for OS.
