We compared the rate at which diabetes developed in subjects that exhibited chloracne with the rate in which it developed in those free of chloracne and found a highly significant age-adjusted OR of 4.6 (95% CI 1.9–11.4) and AOR of 5.5 (2.3–13.4) in women but not in men ( Table 3 ).
