The additive effects, although in a similar direction, were of much weaker influence in the male 96-7-C1 background (data not shown). While the genetic regions identified on RT-3, -15, and -19 were not identified as possessing genome-wide significance using the scanone method in R/qtl, these three linkage groups were identified as having highly significant ( P < 0.01) chromosome-wide significance levels along with markers on RT-13 and RT-21 (see Tables 3 and 4 ).
