Tazarotene treated patients were more likely to have either a reduction or no change in keratinocyte or melanocyte atypia compared with vehicle-treated patients (76% vs 50% and 80% vs 50% respectively), although the change in distribution or severity of keratinocytic atypia just failed to reach statistical significance (p = 0.055).
