The sentences
Comparison of the sub-groups 3.1 or 3.2 (many DC, without/with PVN) with the group without/few DC revealed a trend towards more vascular and interstitial rejection in group 3.1, but a highly significant number of cases of humoral rejection in group 3.2 (signalled by C4d positivity in peritubular capillaries) sometimes with and sometimes without transplant glomerulitis (see supplementary table S2).
