Although the relative efficiency of domain I-dependent transcriptional repression in non-seed plants (via the LxLxPP motif) and flowering plants (via the LxLxL motif) is not possible to assess with the data that are currently available, it is highly significant, as they would be expected profoundly to influence the role of auxin-dependent transcriptional activation.
