These data support a model in which TLK1B alters the association of Asf1 with the H3–H4 dimer, which may be significant for the reformation of core tetramers, for example during reassembly of nucleosomes at the repaired junctions of a DSB [ 10 ], or in attenuation of transcription [ 21 ].
