The production of potentially phased siRNAs alone is, however, not enough to class a locus as trans -acting so we concentrated on the 12 predicted highly significant loci with p values < 0.00001 and used the psRNATarget prediction tool [ 40 ] to identify potential targets for phased siRNAs (Table 2 , Additional File 6 ).
