Large cross-sectional studies of young children have shown the association of increased lead concentration with decrease in height, weight, or both.[ 4 5 ] The age group-wise evaluation of the somatic growth of the study subjects shows that in both exposed and comparative groups, growth parameters like height and weight were in an increasing trend of values with increasing age, which can be explained as a normal trend.
