The results obtained through Gepoclu (with 20 kbp positional threshold) showed a clustering behavior significantly different from what achievable from a random set of genes (analyzed with the same statistical approach illustrated in the previous example); in particular, the observed cluster distribution for these genes indicated a highly significant bias towards localization on particular regions of chromosome 3R (see Additional file 6 ).
