Our results revealed extensive strain differences in macrophage gene expression, identified several differentially expressed genes that positionally map to Crgn3-7 (primary effector candidates), as well as a subset of genes, that although they map outside the known CRGN QTL regions, showed highly significant differential expression between WKY and LEW macrophages, before and after LPS stimulation.
