Despite the limited sample size from the recovering population, we observed a highly significant weaker G5 and G1 binding associated with B- phenotypes among the descendants of RHDV survivor rabbits when compared to the neighboring control population, suggesting that the virus contributed to select animals with a weak binding HBGA phenotype.
