These differences were highly significant for both the raw (Kruskal–Wallis test, , p < 0.001) and the resampled data ( p < 0.001 for 100% of resamples with n = 55 per group; resampled mean ± s.e. for prinias = 0.651 ± 0.002 and for red-faced cisticolas = 0.382 ± 0.002).
