We have carried out five independent challenge experiments in groups of birds vaccinated with recombinant EtMIC3-MAR protein or EtMIC3-MAR DNA and found that EtMIC3 vaccination results in highly significant reductions in oocyst output after challenge infection ( Figure 8 ).
