Due to a number of factors, including the lack of universally accepted methods for evaluating skin surface and structural changes associated with aging, as well as the potential for treatment biases, there may be significant variability in what patients are told about their appearance, what treatments may be offered, and indeed what treatment is administered from one clinic to the next.
