Variation in egg composition in relation to embryo sex No sex differences in mean egg composition were found, and the covariation among different egg components did not vary markedly in relation to offspring sex: out of 40 pairwise comparisons, only a single correlation (between egg corticosterone and vitamin A) showed a negligible marginally significant difference between the sexes.
