Although objective response rates were rather low with 10.9% in the ipilimumab alone arm and 5.7% in the combined ipilimumab and vaccination arm versus 1.5% in the gp100 vaccination alone arm, highly significant differences in hazard rates for overall survival resulted were detected between ipilimumab alone versus vaccination alone (0.66; 95% CI = 0.51–0.87; p = .003) and between the combined arm versus vaccination alone (0.68; 95% CI = 0.55–0.85; p < .001) [ 87 ].
