Analyses on all participants combined ( Figure 1D ) showed a highly significant increase in relative mtDNAcn associated with benzene levels for both unadjusted (7.8% increase; 95% CI: 2.9, 13.0; p = 0.002) and adjusted regressions (10.3% increase; 95% CI: 5.4, 15.5; p < 0.001).
