Suffice it to say here that one cannot exclude the possibility of vascular DCs transporting T cell antigens to secondary lymphoid organs based on the limited data available, and impairment of migration may not be significant early in lesion development, when priming of pro-atherogenic T cells is perhaps most relevant.
