Previous meta-analyses just of the published studies [6] , [10] – [12] have found, in aggregate, a highly significant but only moderately positive association of MTHFR genotype with CHD risk (odds ratio [OR] for TT versus CC genotype of 1.16 in the most recent report [6] ), but opinions differ as to whether publication bias could explain away this aggregate result [6] , [10] – [12] .
