At the time of separation from parents, 80% of children belonging to the clonidine group were adequately sedated (sedation score 3 and 4) compared to 30% in the midazolam group, the overall difference in sedation between the two groups was found to be statistically very highly significant with a P value of <0.001 [ Table 3 ].
