Post hoc comparisons using Tukey's HSD test with an adjusted alpha level of .01 indicated that, on the reflective pondering subscale the oldest age group (≥63 years) compared to the three age groups ≤24 years ( d = .77), 25–37 ( d = .76), and 38–50 ( d = .85) showed lower scores ( P < .001) and marginally significant lower scores compared to the second oldest age group of 51–62 years ( d = .59).
