There were moderate estimated effects of PM exposure on cardiovascular morbidity: multivariable-adjusted odds for the multiplicity of CVD outcomes increased by 1.32 and 1.15 times per 10 μg/m 3 increase in PM 2.5 and PM 10 respectively in the LCR analyses; the estimated PM 2.5 effects diminished quite a bit following spatial adjustment with indicators distinguishing the nine Census regions, while the spatially adjusted PM 10 effects on MI and STK remained marginally significant ( Figures 3 and 4 ).
