However, four highly significant ( P <0.005) QTLs were revealed by the nonparametric mapping test analogous to one-way analysis of variance [39] on chromosomes 3 ( Mi-GI h -C03 1 , BNL3408), 4 ( Mi-GI b -C04 1 , MUSSS396_N-111), 11 ( Mi-GI b -C11 1 , BNL1231), and 17 ( Mi-GI h -C17 1 , MUSB0224_320) in Experiment I accounting for 12.3, 11.5, 10.1, and 7.95% of the phenotypic variance in GI, respectively ( Table 1 , Figure 3 ).
