In a study of nonattendance at a family practice in Mexico City among patients with type 2 diabetes or hypertension or attending antenatal care, there were approximately equal numbers of patients either forgetting appointments or having experienced administrative problems ( 16 ), suggesting that organizational procedures may be significant contributing factors.
