The association of network score with all-cause mortality was reduced to borderline significance after adjustment for SES and self-rated health (HR = 1.18, 95% CI: 0.99, 1.40), whereas there remained a 51% excess risk (HR = 1.51, 95% CI: 1.23, 1.86) of death for participants who were not married or cohabiting.
