We took advantage of the fact that 72 of the GII bulls had non-overlapping sets of GIII sons in H and NZ, to estimate the repeatability of GRR as the correlation between these independent measurements, yielding a highly significant Spearman's correlation coefficient of 0.58 (p<3.7×10 −7 )( Figure S4B ).
