borderline significantp = 0.046
The associations of the highest stress category with systolic BP, diastolic BP and MAP remained after full adjustment for confounders: Children from mothers in the highest stress category, which denotes the presence of three or four stressors, had a borderline significant 1.5 mmHg higher systolic BP (p = 0.046), a 1.5 mmHg higher diastolic BP (p = 0.04) and a 1.5 higher MAP (p = 0.02), compared with the children of mothers in the no stress category.
