The difference ranged from −3.9 MJ/d (32%) on the third assessment occasion to −2.7 MJ/d (23%) on the second assessment occasion and the correlation coefficient for EI and TEE was only statistically significant on assessment occasion 4 ( ρ = 0.34, CI: 0.04, 0.58), although it was borderline significant on the first assessment occasion.
