The prevalence of anti-HEV IgG among pregnant women (11%, CI95 [7–16%]) was lower than that in the entire blood donor group (19% CI95 [13–25%]); the difference with the female blood donor (non pregnant) group was highly significant, with an Odds Ratio ratio of 2.3 (CI95 [1.7–3.24], χ 2 = 4.31, p<0.05).
