Sequence comparison between the PPTSP28 and the D7 of 28 kDa from the Israeli strain shows more differences ( Figure 12 ); however, these differences may not be significant enough (only 19 aa across the 235-aa molecule) to discard this protein as a potential marker of P. papatasi exposure in different regions.
