Results NPC risk was positively associated with intake of cholesterol (OR for highest vs lowest quartile=1.85; 95% CI: 1.12–3.05; P -trend=0.01) and saturated fatty acids (OR=1.75; 95% CI: 1.04–2.95), although the trend in risk for the latter was of borderline significance ( P -trend=0.07) ( Table 2 ).
