VEGF and SP-1 total fluorescence units were analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient test, giving a Pearson R value of 0.503, p ≤ 0.0001, suggesting a highly significant correlation between VEGF and SP-1 protein expression levels in NSCLC tissue of both squamous and adenocarcinoma morphology ( Fig. 6 C ).
