In 22 patients with CHB, we were able to simultaneously compare the effect of NK depletion on HBV- and CMV-specific responses; those directed against an immunodominant CMV epitope showed a nonsignificant trend to decrease, contrasting with the increase in T cells directed against HBV in the same patients ( Fig. 2 A ).
