However, the relatively highly significant correlation between N ε -CML and AGEs in serum samples of NPDR subjects caused us to speculate that N ε -CML, the key molecule, which is significantly associated with NPDR occurrence and rises remarkably with AGE levels in preproliferative and proliferative stages of retinopathy.
