Reductions in diastolic blood pressure (BP; −1.60 mmHg; 95% CI: −2.77, −0.43 mmHg) and mean arterial pressure (−1.64 mmHg; 95% CI: −3.27, −0.01 mmHg), and marginally significant improvements in LDL (−0.07 mmol/l; 95% CI: −0.13, 0.00 mmol/l) and HDL cholesterol levels (0.03 mmol/L; 95% CI: 0.00, 0.06 mmol/l) were also observed in the study.
