A P value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant, between 0.05 to 0.1 as marginally significant and more than 0.1 as nonsignificant.
Highly significant differences in mGluR5 density could not be measured, mainly because of the limited availability of postmortem human brain tissues from FXS patients; nevertheless, the results raise the important question of whether mGluR5 density is indeed increased in the brains of individuals with FXS.
