The primary endpoint was achieved by 43.5% of patients in the apremilast 20 mg bd group, 35.8% of patients in the 40 mg od group, and 11.8% of patients on placebo, the differences between active drug and placebo being highly significant (see Table 1 ) [ 71 , 72 ].
