Similar associations were also seen in the East Asian population, where 14:0 was positively correlated with both fasting insulin (r 2 = 0.13; P = 0.0088) and HOMA-IR (r 2 = 0.11; P = 0.0024); however, these associations were borderline significant when adjusting for multiple testing.
