However, as shown by Vicanek, 22 the interference effect might be significant for individual trajectories, but for a statistical ensemble of trajectories, for which the path-length distribution is usually much broader than the characteristic length for which interference effects play a role, the impact of these effects on the cumulative spectra is negligible.
