The comparative genome mapping showed considerably significant proportion of sequence-based orthology and syntenic relationship of eSSR markers distributed over nine foxtail millet chromosomes with sorghum (~68%, 223), maize (~61%, 200) and rice (~42%, 136) chromosomes ( Tables S7 –S9).
