For these victims, a marginally significant association was evident between TL (measured at baseline) and PTSD which led the investigators to suggest that rape victims with pre-existing shorter relative LT might be more susceptible and thus less resilient to developing a major depressive disorder (MDD) or PTSD related to rape trauma.
