Beta values derived from an anatomical defined ROI of the basal ganglia ( Eickhoff et al., 2005 ) from the affective Yoni condition correlated with two subscales of the IRI, namely with perspective taking as well as with distress . Taking into account that the IRI contains four subscales and thus adapting the alpha level, one may argue that the correlation between beta values and perspective taking ( p = .033) should be considered as a statistical trend.
