We observed an almost significant trend toward a negative correlation between the behavioral interaction (GW and NGAL > GAL and NGW) and novelty seeking (partial Pearson's correlations controlling for age: r = −0.37, p = 0.019), whereas no correlation was observed with the other measured personality traits of harm avoidance (r = 0.008, p = 0.959) or reward dependence (r = 0.09, p = 0.560) ( Supplementary Fig. 3 ).
