We found a statistically significant linear sex-by-overall-metals-exposure interaction term (OR = 2.1; 95% CI: 1.8, 2.5), as well as statistically significant sex-by-pollutant interactions for nickel and antimony, and borderline significant interactions ( p < 0.10) for cadmium, lead, and trichloroethylene.
