Practical Implications and Further Research The implications of our findings are that, regardless of ICD-9-CM code classification, body-part treated, and the presence of surgical or non-surgical intervention, there are likely to be significant differences in physical rehabilitation utilization and treatment emphasis for injured workers between practice settings.
