Numerous studies have demonstrated that people find following medication regimens problematic, that various lifestyle, psychological and social factors are implicated in this, that inappropriate medication use adversely impacts on patients’ health outcomes and hospital admissions, and the costs of this to health care systems are highly significant [ 1 ].
