Notably, 18 novel highly significant SNPs (Bonferroni corrected p 0.05) were found to be associated with at least one of the 4 subphenotypes of ASD, while 10 of these SNPs were replicated in a second ASD subtype (representing an independent cohort), but at a lower level of significance (< 10% False Discovery Rate by Benjamini-Hochberg correc- tion for multiple testing).
